Catch up Thursday

Catch Up Thursday: Use Your Stash

Use Your Stash was another class by May Flaum at Big Picture Classes. As the title states, it was all about using up your "stash" of scrapbooking supplies and I definitely have a stash to use up! Unfortunately, at the time the class was running, I must not have had a lot of time for scrapping because I didn't actually complete any of the lessons during the class. So, I'm starting from scratch on this one. The layout below was inspired by the layout included in the pre-class material for the class.
Sandylion patterned paper
Chipboard flowers
Making Memories journaling spot
Creative Memories letter stickers
Martha Stewart punches
Zig pen

This was definitely a layout from my stash. This paper said copyright 2006 on it, and that's probably about when I bought it. That's really old for scrapbooking supplies! The flowers (which were bare chipboard that I covered with paper from the same line) were from a kit I received at a crop at least 2 years ago. I buy a lot of chipboard, but I can never figure out what to do with it, so it often sits in my stash. The only new thing I used on this page was the punches I used for the borders under the pictures. And using new tools to jazz up old paper is definitely a great way to get that paper out of the stash and onto a layout!

Do you have a lot of old supplies sitting around unused? Challenge yourself to find just one old product and figure out a way to put it on a layout!
